Top Times Achieved at NCAA Northeast Regional Championships

Collin Brown, Caputo, McNamee Finish Among All-Time Best in Program History

Collin Brown, Killian McNamee and Julia Caputo all ran their way into the Siena Men's and Women's Cross-Country Teams Record Books to finish with some of the fastest times in the men's 10K and women's 6K at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship that took place at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds Cross Country Course, Contoocook, New Hampshire on Friday.

Brown, the surging sophomore from Rochester, NY, finished in 31:13.69 to place 55th overall among 255 Division I top runners.  His time was a top-10 finish for the Siena Men's in 10K races, joining Joe Rukanshagiza (29:36.0 in 1973) and Tom Dalton (four times at sub 31:13 between 1979-1980). 

McNamee, a graduate student form Tolland, CT, crossed in 31:23.80 to finish in 64th overall. 

Caputo, a senior, ran one of her better times, clocking in at 20:56.04, to finish 41th overall among 273 top competitions in Division I. 

The Canton, CT native had run a 20:48.5 in the MAAC Championship to qualify for this race after a third-place finish. 

Other Siena female finishers included fellow senior Claire Gardner, who ran the course in 21:46.62 for a spot in 102nd, followed by Keira Flaherty (22:14.57 in 138th), Katie Hesler (22:44.85 in 169th), Faith Skowvron (22:50:13 in 177th), Julianna Tourangeau (23:13.88 in 208th), and Chloe Poulos (23:47.18 (237th). 

The Siena Women finished in 21st place out of 42 teams, beating the likes of Bryant, Rhode Island, Binghamton, Canisius, Vermont, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Marist, Fairfield, Wagner, Maine, Colgate, Buffalo, Fordham, Sacred Heart, Niagara, Manhattan, Hofstra, LIU, St. John's and St. Bonaventure. 

Other Siena men finishers included Collin Clinton (32:17.04 in 119th),  Colin Brunelle (32:20.10 in 126), Christopher DeForest (32:29.21 in 137th, Jake Passalugo (33:03.24 in 175th and Luke Tkaczyk (33:14.86 in 188th). 

The Siena Men finished in 18th place out of 39 competing teams with a score of 501, beating schools such as Colgate, Brown, Central Connecticut State, New Hampshire, Buffalo, Vermont, Wagner, Hofstra, Merrimack, Marist, Rhode Island, Bryant, Canisius, Holy Cross, Fordham, Niagara, Quinnipiac, Fairfield, Sacred Heart, LIU and St. Bonaventure.
