LOUDONVILLE, NY – New Siena Men's Basketball Head Coach
Gerry McNamara has announced his fourth official addition to the 2024-25 roster, and first Capital Region product. Amsterdam, New York native Marcus Jackson has officially joined the Saints.

Marcus brings such a toughness and maturity to him that he just oozes leadership. He and I align on just about everything in terms of how to approach the process. I can't wait to have him here!"

Jackson matriculates to Siena after spending his first two collegiate seasons across town at the University at Albany. The 6-2, 180-pound guard joins the Saints as a rising junior with two years of eligibility remaining.

Jackson appeared in 48 games (37 starts) in his two seasons with UAlbany, averaging 4.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists spanning 21.0 minutes while shooting 52% from the field including 37% from three-point range.

This past winter, Jackson averaged 5.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 steals, while shooting 57% from the floor and 42% from three over 20 games (18 starts) in 22.7 minutes. He scored in double figures five times, highlighted by a pair of 15-point performances including his first collegiate double-double with career-highs of 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists vs. future MAAC member Sacred Heart. Jackson was a four-time team captain in high school, while leading Albany Academy to a 95-20 record and a pair of State Championships. He earned 2021
Albany Times Union Large School Athlete of the Year honors after averaging 27.9 points, 9.2 assists, and 5.7 rebounds. Jackson spent a postgraduate year at Cushing Academy in Massachusetts.
