Saints Alive! Program Enhancement Reception Sets New Benchmark

Record $82,300 Raised in Support of Siena Basketball Programs

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Athletics is thrilled to announce a new record $82,300 was raised at the annual Saints Alive! Athletic Fund Program Enhancement Reception held on Monday, May 13 at 677 Prime in downtown Albany. The energy and passion brought by new Siena Basketball head coaches Gerry McNamara and Terry Primm in their mission to bring championships back to Loudonville was instrumental in shattering last year's previous record of $55,000, and providing both coaching staffs with the financial support necessary to "Build Better Saints."

"The excitement surrounding Siena Basketball right now is electrifying," said Siena Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Lori Anctil. "The overwhelming and unwavering support from our alumni and friends fills us with great pride and optimism for the future of Siena Basketball. I'd also like to extend a very special thank you to Assistant Athletic Director for Development Paul DiLello '81 and Chip Stein '78 for their steadfast efforts in making this year's event a tremendous success."

The event featured a meet and greet with Siena Basketball Head Coaches Gerry McNamara and Terry Primm, as well as student athletes Brandon Coyle, Marcus Jackson, Ahniysha Jackson, and Valencia Fontenelle-Posson. This provided an excellent opportunity for fellowship with Siena Basketball alumni and supporters. Featured speakers included Siena College President Chuck Seifert, Vice President/Director of Athletics John D'Argenio, McNamara, and Primm.

Siena Athletics surpassed the fundraising goal of $75,000 for the event, thanks in large part to a matching challenge by Stein, as well as the generous support of several longtime and new Siena supporters. The funds raised will directly benefit both teams and their coaching staffs, enabling them to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally to recruit the next generation of Saints.

We look forward to the positive impact these enhancements will have on our athletic department and the broader Siena community.
