BRIDGEPORT, PA – The Siena Water Polo program was named recipients of the Team Academic Award and also received 12 All-Academic individual honors as announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) for distinguished achievement in the classroom for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Saints earned the Team Academic Award for holding a 3.32 cumulative GPA, which exceeded the threshold of 3.0 for a team's combined GPA to be honored. The Green and Gold held a 3.37 spring term GPA as the program saw a pair of freshmen in
Catherine Williamson and
Rebecca Currie reach the "Outstanding" level for a GPA held between 3.71 and 4.0.Â

Both Williamson and Currie achieved the perfect 4.0 GPA for their first year in the program. Williamson is studying Computer Science Entrepreneurship while Currie is majoring in Marketing.Â

Individually, the program had athletes collect All-Academic Team honors for the 19
th time in the history of the award.

Caroline Behr (3.51) and
Sydney Arnold (3.50), junior
Bianca Kennerley (3.61), sophomore
Samantha Varrie (3.43) and freshmen
Gaylynn Kirn (3.54) and
Olivia Smith (3.45) all received "Superior" distinction for possessing a GPA between 3.41 and 3.7.

Mackenzie Russell (3.28), sophomores
Parker Thomas (3.26) and
Audrey Lacey (3.38) and freshman Lucia Caballero (3.38) all were named with "Excellent" status for holding a GPA between 3.2 and 3.4.Â
