Siena Baseball Announces 2025 Schedule

Saints Slated For 19 Home Dates at Connors Park This Spring

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Baseball Head Coach Alex Jurczynski has announced the Saints 2025 schedule. Siena is slated for 51 games this spring, highlighted by 19 contests at Connors Park.

For the 11th time in the past 14 non-conference seasons, the 2025 Siena Baseball season will commence in Orlando against Big 12 foe and 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Central Florida. The season-opening three-game weekend series kicks off on Friday, Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m., matching (2020) the Saints earliest calendar season-opener in a decade (Feb. 13, 2015).

The second and third weekends of the season shift to Tennessee to close out the opening month of February. Siena will take on Missouri Valley Conference opponent Bradley for a three-game neutral site series Feb. 21-23, which will be contested at the USA Baseball Complex in Millington, Tennessee, just outside Memphis. The following weekend, the Saints head to the eastern part of the state for a three-game weekend series at East Tennessee State, featuring a doubleheader on Feb. 28 vs. Northeast foe Binghamton and the host Buccaneers, before wrapping up on Mar. 1 against ETSU.

Siena returns to the Capital Region for the program's earliest-ever home and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener when the Saints host Manhattan Mar. 7-9 at Connors Park. The MAAC expands to a 30-game conference schedule in 2025 with the addition of two new league members, featuring 10 league series – five home and five away – while each team will have two MAAC foes that they will not face. Siena will not play Rider nor Mount St. Mary's during the 2025 regular season as a result.

The Saints have the league bye the following weekend, and will travel to Delaware for their final non-conference weekend series Mar. 14-16. The series kicks off a second season-long nine-game road trip, as Siena will play 18 of its first 21 on the road this spring.

Additional non-conference matchups feature midweek tilts at Connors Park against crosstown rival UAlbany (Apr. 1, May 6), Dartmouth (Apr. 16), and FDU (May 13), and road midweek contests at Binghamton (Mar. 18), defending Northeast Conference Champion LIU (Mar. 25), FDU (Mar. 26), UAlbany (Apr. 22), and UMass (Apr. 30).

In MAAC action, new league member Sacred Heart (Mar. 28-30), who captured the NEC Regular Season title last spring, reigning MAAC Champion Niagara (Apr. 11-13), Canisius (May 2-4), and I-87 rival Marist (May 15-17) will join Manhattan in venturing to Connors Park this spring. The Saints are scheduled to play eight of 11 home games during the month of May to wrap up regular season action.

Siena will hit the road in league play this spring against defending MAAC Regular Season Co-Champion Fairfield (Mar. 21-23), new league member Merrimack (Apr. 4-6), Saint Peter's (Apr. 17-19), Iona (Apr. 25-27), and Quinnipiac (May 8-9, 12).

With the league expanding to 13 members this season, the top-eight finishers will qualify for the 2025 MAAC Baseball Championships, which are set to be held for a fourth straight season at Clover Stadium in Pomona, New York from May 20-24.

Siena is looking to improve upon its 2024 campaign which yielded a 12-40 overall record including an 8-16 mark in MAAC action, which placed the Saints ninth out of 11 teams in the final league standings.
