LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Tennis will pick up the second half of its 2024-2025 campaign with a visit to Pennsylvania to take on Saint Francis on Friday, January 24.
After an encouraging start to the fall campaign that was highlighted by a MAAC Masters Tournament Singles Championship won by Oscar Martinez followed by a berth into the ITA Conference Masters Championship, Saints head coach Alex Van Cott is now preparing the team for spring schedule for the first time.
The 2025 spring season will include 18 head-to-head match ups including seven at home site Tri-City Fitness in Latham.
The first eight matches to start the 2025 slate will be non-conference.
Siena will host its home opener for the spring against LIU on Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m. at Tri-City Fitness.
February kicks off with a visit to Newark, NJ to take on NJIT on Saturday, Feb. 1 followed by a return home to take on Buffalo on Feb. 6 at Tri-City Fitness as well as Binghamton on Friday, Feb. 14. A three-game road swing follows with visits to play at Colgate of the Patriot League on Saturday, Feb. 15, a trip to Syracuse to face Le Moyne on Saturday, Feb. 22 and concludes with travel to Providence, Rhode Island to play Brown of the Ivy League on Sunday, Feb. 23.
The month of March starts with a home conference opener against Merrimack on Saturday, March 1 with a 13-day break before competing with Sacred Heart on Friday, March 14.
Siena opens a four-match road trip with visits to Monmouth on Saturday, March 15, Mount St. Mary's (Md) on Sunday, March 23, Philadelphia to play at Temple on Friday, March 28 as well as MAAC opponent Quinnipiac on Saturday, April 5.
Rival Fairfield visits the Capital Region on Sunday, April 6 and then Siena will travel to Lawrencville, NJ to play at Rider on Friday, April 11. Senior Day is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 against Niagara and the regular season wraps at Marist on Saturday, April 19 before the MAAC Tournament runs from April 24 through April 27 at Mercer County Park Tennis Center.
