LOUDONVILLE, NY - For the second time this season, Lucas Almeida has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. 
 
Almeida recorded a hat trick in Siena's 3-1 win over Niagara on Saturday and helped lead the team to a 1-0-1 week overall to extend the Saint's unbeaten streak to eight. The junior scored in the 23rd, 41st, and 88th minutes of the match against the Purple Eagles, with his hat trick-securing tally coming on a one-on-three breakaway. His efforts moved him atop the team lead with five goals on the season and put him in a tie for third in the MAAC with 15 points. 
 
Siena returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 25, to take on Quinnipiac in Hamden, CT. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
