LOUDONVILLE, NY - For the sixth time in program history, and the second time in as many seasons, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Year belongs to a Siena Saint. Siena Men's Soccer freshman standout
Martin Piedeleu was voted the conference's top newcomer, as well as an All-MAAC Third Team selection, as part of five Saints voted to All-MAAC teams by the league's head coaches.
In becoming the sixth MAAC Rookie of the Year in program history, Piedeleu is also the second in as many seasons under head coach
Graciano Brito. The one-time MAAC Rookie of the Week (9/29/25) appeared and started in all 16 matches, logging 1,244 minutes. He finished the regular season tied for second on the team with 10 points and ranked second on the team with four assists—tied for ninth in the league. Piedeleu's three goals were tied for third, and he led the Green & Gold with 37 shot attempts—ranking eighth in the MAAC, averaging 2.31 per match—and second on the team with 16 shots on goal—10th in the MAAC, averaging 1.00 per match.
Three-time MAAC Offensive Player of the Week (10/6/25, 10/20/25, and 11/3/25)
Lucas Almeida was one of two Saints to earn First Team All-MAAC acclaim. The junior capped off the regular season leading the Saints and ranking second in the MAAC with eight goals and 21 points—making him the first Saint to eclipse 20 points since the 2019 season. Almeida ended the regular season tied for 28th nationally, averaging 1.40 points per match, and tied for 33rd nationally, averaging 0.53 goals per match. He notably tied a single-match program record with four assists against Canisius on Oct. 1, which was also a single-match high in the MAAC this season. He also tied single-match MAAC highs for the season with six points and three goals against Niagara.
Freshman standout
Ismail Dia also earned First Team All-MAAC honors as a defender. The rookie played and started in all 16 matches this season, logging the most minutes on the team (1,411). He commanded a backline that finished third in the league, allowing 0.90 goals per match against conference opponents, and also attempted eight shots and two on goal.

Eric Svensson (Second Team All-MAAC) and
Thomas Sams (Third Team All-MAAC), were recognized by the league's head coaches—both earning All-MAAC honors for the first time in their careers. Svensson played in all 16 matches, making 15 starts, logging the second-most minutes on the team among field players (1,308), while Sams played and started in all 15 matches he was active for, logging the third-most minutes on the team among field players (1,307). The duo helped generate the league's third-ranked scoring defense in conference matches, allowing less than one goal per match over 10 outings. Additionally, Svensson scored one goal this season—a match-winner against Canisius—while assisting on three other goals for a career-high five points.
Additionally, 12 members of the program were named to the MAAC All-Academic team, for which student-athletes must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible. Seniors
