LOUDONVILLE, NY - In a perfect 2-0 week for Siena Men's Soccer, two Saints secured Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly honors for their efforts on the pitch.
Lucas Almeida picked up his third MAAC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, while goalkeeper
Bennet Glinder was voted the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Almeida scored three goals over two matches to help lead Siena to a 2-0 week. Two of his goals came as match-winners, one of which came in the 68th minute to help cap off a second-half comeback victory over Marist. He also scored in the 76th minute of that match to extend Siena's lead to 3-1. Almeida went on to secure his team-leading eighth goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Saint Peter's on Nov. 1, also putting him in sole possession for the second most in the MAAC. Additionally, the junior became the first Saint to eclipse 20 points in a season since 2019 after picking up six last week to get to 21.

Glinder led Siena to two wins this past week and also tied the MAAC lead with his fifth clean sheet of the season in the team's win over Saint Peter's on Nov. 9. Glinder allowed just one goal over two matches and posted a .900 save percentage. He made four saves in the team's 3-1 win over Marist on Oct. 29 and stopped each of Saint Peter's five shots on target in a 2-0 decision on Nov. 1.

The Saints (7-5-4, 6-1-3) secured the #2 seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming MAAC Championship Tournament and will host a MAAC Semifinal match on Hickey Field on Thursday, Nov. 13. Opponent and match time are TBA.
