The Siena Men's Track and Field team had several student-athletes push their boundaries in setting new personal bests and clocked in with four of the all-time best times in program history as the Saints found moderate success at the John Thomas Terrier Classic played on the campus of Boston University on Saturday.
Among the highlights included top-Four finishes from both
Killian McNamee in the 3,000-meter and
Colin Brunelle in the indoor 5k events.
McNamee, who came back to the team for a graduate season, shaved off about 11 seconds from his time at the 2024 MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Tolland, CT, native ran in 8:15.87 for 69
th overall.
Brunelle, a sophomore from West Sand Lake, NY, finished in 14:39.78 in the 5k distance race.
Junior
PJ Dauer finished eighth all-time in program history in the 1K (2:32.70) and was 34
th overall.
Luke Tkaczyk placed sixth all-time in the one-mile event(4:11.89) to round out the Top-100.
Siena will be back in competition at the Fastrack National Invite on Staten Island, NY next Friday, February 7 at 12 p.m. from the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
