The Siena Track teams qualified seven student-athletes for Sunday's final round on Day One of the 2025 MAAC Indoor Track Field Championships at the Nike Armory Track & Field Center on Saturday in New York City.
Three others in the men's 5K and the men's distance relay team also earned points on the day.
Qualifiers from the Siena women included
Keira Flaherty (5:04.52) and
Chloe Poulos (5:05.82) in the women's one mile.
Two more qualifiers from Siena advanced from the 800-meter including
Claire Gardner, who came in with the best time at 2:16.14 and
Jennifer McClintock at 2:17.35.
Mattingly O'Rourke narrowly missed out on qualifying by .11 of a second.
On the men's side, it was
Tyler Greene, who posted the top time in the men's one-mile in 4:12.10 to qualify as well as
Luke Tkaczyk (4:19.26) and
Marcus Homa (4:17.46).
In the men's 5K,
Christopher DeForest (14:41.30),
Collin Brown (14:49.41) and Collin Brunelle (14:55.36) all qualified while the men's distance relay team of Conor Leahy, Paris Porter,
PJ Dauer and
Jake Passalugo also earned points with a seventh-place finish.
Day two also starts at 5 p.m. with the women's 800-meter set for a 6:05 p.m. start. The women's one-mile will kick things off at 5 p.m. followed by the men's one-mile at 5:10 p.m.
The men's 4x400 medley relay is the last event, beginning at 8:25 p.m. Fans may watch
