28th Anniversary Saints Alive! Shootout Scores New Record $51,374

Proceeds From Event Directly Support Siena’s More Than 350 Student Athletes

LOUDONVILLE, NY – For the fourth consecutive year, the Saints Alive! Shootout netted a new fundraising record for the direct benefit of Siena's more than 350 student athletes. The 28th Anniversary Saints Alive! Shootout presented by Saints March On held on Monday, June 16 at The Edison Club in nearby Rexford, New York raised a new benchmark of $51,374.

"Our 28th Anniversary Saints Alive! Shootout was an overwhelming success," said Siena Assistant Athletic Director for Development Paul DiLello. "We couldn't have scripted a better day. We were blessed with perfect weather conditions and tremendous support. I would like to extend a special thanks to all of our event and hole sponsors as well as the golf participants who helped make this year's Saints Alive! Shootout our most successful one ever."

This marks the fourth consecutive year following its return from a two-year hiatus due to COVID in which the Saints Alive! Shootout raised a new record in net revenue for the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund. The $51,374 raised at this year's event broke the previous record of $43,675 set last year by nearly 17%.

A total of 136 golfers participated in the Saints Alive! Shootout, which featured breakfast followed by 18 holes of golf with a shotgun start and a scramble format. The event wrapped up with a post-golf reception and barbecue where both competition and raffle winners were announced, and one qualifying participant had the opportunity to take a putt to win $10,000.

The Saints Alive! Shootout is one of the Siena Athletic Department's largest annual fundraisers, whose net proceeds directly support the College's 21 Division I athletic programs and more than 350 student athletes, playing a critical role in the continued mission of "Building Better Saints."
