Reynolds, McCarthy Named USILA DI Scholar All-Americans

Siena Earns Fourth Consecutive USILA Team Academic Award

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Lacrosse attackmen Pratt Reynolds and Ryan McCarthy became the first duo in Siena Men's Lacrosse program history to be named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division I Scholar All-Americans in the same season.
  
Reynolds and McCarthy became the sixth and seventh different student-athletes in program history to earn the distinction joining prior Siena lacrosse alumni Christopher Yanchoris (two-time winner in both 2023 and 2022), Kyle Curry (2014), John Rogener (2011), Brent Herbst (2010) and Matt Walsh (2006).
 
Presented by Blatant Lacrosse, the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. There were 122 student-athletes from Division I chosen for the honor. 
 
A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. Each individual was evaluated on a case-by--case basis by the Scholar AA committee.
 
Reynolds (Business) earned a 3.40 GPA for the spring semester, matching his overall cumulative GPA of 3.40. 
 
On the field, the Manlius, NY native produced a banner year after being named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, an All-MAAC First Team selection, an All-MAAC Championship Team member, a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, a USILA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American as well as a USILA Senior All-Star Game selection.
 
The product of Fayetteville-Manlius High School closed out his collegiate career by setting the program record for goals scored in a single season with 57 while leading the MAAC in goals scored per game at 3.56.
  
McCarthy, a native of Northport, NY, was also named to the All-MAAC First Team, earning two MAAC Offensive Player of the Year awards during the season.  Additionally, McCarthy was named to the All-MAAC Championship Team and was selected to the USILA Senior All-Star Game.
  
The product of Northport led the conference in assists per game (3.13) and tallied 50 assists to set a new program for the most assists in a single season in program history, surpassing Richie Hurley's total of 48 that was set back in 2014.  McCarthy led the conference in points per game with 3.88 and also finishes second all-time in assists in Siena history with 112 career helpers. McCarthy (Business) earned a 3.00 GPA for the spring semester and wrapped up with a 3.32 cumulative GPA.
  
The Siena Men's Lacrosse program also built onto its list of academic achievements by being named by the USILA as one of 35 Division I programs to be recognized with the 2025 Team Academic Award.
  
Presented by Blatant Lacrosse, the organization recognizes those men's lacrosse teams that achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher from this past season.
  
This marks the fourth consecutive season in which the Saints have been honored after earning its first USILA Scholar Team Award in program history in June of 2022 under head coach Liam Gleason.
 
In the 2025 spring semester, the Saints boasted a 3.29 term GPA with a 3.21 cumulative GPA. There were 23 student-athletes who held a 3.5 GPA or better for the spring term. That list included two perfect 4.0 terms by Jack Clifford and Will Miller.
 
Others who reached at least Dean's List status (3.50 to 3.89 term GPA) included Caden Kramer (3.88), Jack Cavaioli (3.85), Patrick Linton (3.85), Tahnaokata Elijah (3.81), Liam Hassett (3.75), Thomas Brennan (3.74), R.J. Ihlefeld (3.74), Liam Lennon (3.74), Ryan Vogel (3.74), Michael Felicetti (3.70), Conor Hufnagel (3.66), Nikolas Barbero (3.62), Xander Derkatz (3.61), Logan Banek (3.60), Brandon Blenk (3.60), Ryan Wilson (3.60), Colby LeBlanc (3.57), Patrick Radomski (3.54), Finn Moran (3.53), Andrew Arcuri (3.52), PJ Mackey (3.52).
  
The Saints won its first MAAC Championship since 2014, highlighted by an 11-5 record and a qualifying berth into the NCAA Tournament as one of just 18 teams in the field.
