Siena Water Polo junior
Catherine Williamson was voted to the Preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Team, while the Saints were selected eighth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced Monday.

A 2025 All-MAAC First Team selection, Williamson led Siena and ranked third in the MAAC with 92 goals last season—the second-most in a single season in program history. She posted the seventh-highest single-season shooting percentage in program history (.551) and scored at least one goal in 24 of 26 matches, including 21 multi-goal performances.

Williamson also led the Saints and finished third in the MAAC with 103 points, tying for the 10th-most in a single season in program history. In addition, she drew a team-high 47 exclusions, ranking seventh all-time in a single season at Siena.

Defending MAAC champion No. 20 Wagner was picked to repeat as conference champion, earning eight of the nine first-place votes for 80 points. No. 23 Marist received the remaining first-place vote and finished second with 72 points. Villanova (56) and LIU (54) placed third and fourth, respectively, while Iona rounded out the top five with 42 points.

La Salle finished sixth with 40 points, followed by Mount St. Mary's (27). Siena earned 23 points in eighth, while VMI completed the poll with 11 points.

The Saints open the 2026 season Jan. 24–25 at the Bruno Classic, with matches in Providence, RI, and Cambridge, MA, against No. 22 Brown, Chapman, Bucknell, and No. 14 Harvard.
