LOUDONVILLE, NY – For a third consecutive season, Siena Men's Lacrosse was named as the Preseason Favorites in the 2026 MAAC Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference head coaches, it was announced Monday by the conference office.
The Saints, who won the program's fourth MAAC Championship last season, received 74 votes including five first-place votes and were selected just ahead of Marist (72 votes, three first-place votes) and MAAC runner up Sacred Heart (70 points and one first-place vote).
The Saints have also appeared in eight MAAC Championship title games, the most appearances by a team in league history.
Followed closely behind was Quinnipiac with 52 votes in fourth place followed by Mount St. Mary's with 38 votes and Canisius with 33 votes in sixth.
Rounding out the top-nine were Merrimack (27 votes), Manhattan (25 votes) and Iona (14 votes).

Travis Fry and defensive midfielder
Liam Lennon.
Banek, a sophomore from New Hartford, NY, was 2025's MAAC Rookie of the Year, MAAC Faceoff Specialist of the Year and All-MAAC First Team selection. Banek comes off a dominant season in which he led the conference in face off wins (129) and win percentage (.658) in conference play and also led the MAAC in ground balls with 80 in conference games.
Radomski, a junior from Massapequa, NY, was an All-MAAC First Team selection a year ago as he tallied the fifth most goals in the conference with 32 as well as the fifth most points with 47. Radomski notched winning goals at Binghamton and versus Quinnipiac.
Fry, a senior from Akron, NY, was an All-MAAC Second Team selection last year after tallying 28 goals (ninth in the MAAC) and was a model of consistency as he registered at least one point in 14 of 16 games.
Lennon, a senior from Huntington, NY, appeared in all 16 games and showed off his versatility with 18 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and three assists on offense.
The Saints are coming off a season in which it went 11-5 overall including 7-1 in conference play. Siena's postseason run included a 15-14 victory against No. 4 Marist in the MAAC Semifinals before topping then No. 19/No. 16 and No. 1 seed Sacred Heart (RV) in the MAAC Championship in Fairfield, CT. The Saints earned the automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Tournament and played then RV / No. 19 UAlbany in an 11-9 defeat.
The first face-off to kick off the season will be Saturday, February 7 when the Saints visit No. 17 Boston University for the second consecutive season at 1 p.m. at Nickerson Field.
