LOUDONVILLE, NY – It came in threes for the Siena Saints Men's Lacrosse team on Monday.
In a vote by the conference's sports information directors,
Patrick Radomski,
Vito DeBellis and
Logan Banek all were named as Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly award winners.
Radomski, a junior attack, earned his third MAAC weekly award, receiving recognition as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week after a 13-point week across two wins last week.
DeBellis, a senior goalkeeper, racked up his second MAAC weekly award of the season with a 15-save, 9.00 goals-against average two-gamer in wins at Le Moyne and at conference opponent Quinnipiac.
Banek, a sophomore, earned the MAAC Face Off Specialist of the Week after a 31 of 40 face offs won performance (.775) with a team-high 24 ground balls and a goal scored across the two victories.
It was his 12
th career MAAC weekly award.
Radomski, the Massapequa, NY native totaled seven goals and six assists and three ground balls and caused two turnovers as Siena defeated Le Moyne 11-7 this past Tuesday in Syracuse and then topped Quinnipiac 18-11 in Hamden, CT this past Saturday to open conference play.
Radomski ranks first in the MAAC in goals scored with 24, ranks first in goals per game (3.43), first in assists per game (2.43), first in assists (17), first in points per game (5.86), second in shots per game (8.43) and is second in shots taken (59).
DeBellis, a native of Yorktown Heights, NY, ranks first in minutes in the MAAC (415:34), fifth in GAA (11.26), fifth in saves percentage (.494), second in saves (76), and is ranked fourth in saves per game (10.86).
Banek, the New Hartford, NY native, produced a pair of games with 12 ground balls, which is tied for the most of any MAAC player in a game this season.
Siena (5-2) will return to the field next Tuesday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m. when it travels to UAlbany (2-3) to face the Great Danes in a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament Game.
