LOUDONVILLE, NY – The defending MAAC Men's Lacrosse Champions Siena will open its postseason this Thursday when the top-seeded Saints host the fourth-seeded Merrimack Warriors at 12 p.m. at Hickey Field in the first of two MAAC Semifinal Match ups on the day.
The second match up features No. 2 Marist (9-4) taking on No. 3 Sacred Heart (11-3) at 4 p.m.
Both games will be streamed on
ESPN+. Chris Watson will be on the call with Tom Schwan serving as the color analyst and Joe Lemery will be working as the sideline reporter.

The winners of each game will meet in Saturday's MAAC Championship at Hickey Field at 12 p.m.
That game will be shown on ESPNU.
Since the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship was enacted in 2000, Siena and Marist lead the conference with four MAAC Championships apiece with the Saints last winning last season and the Red Foxes taking it all in 2023. Siena leads the MAAC in title appearances with eight while Marist has appeared seven times. Sacred Heart and Merrimack are recent additions to the league. The Pioneers have made the MAAC Championship each of the last two seasons after joining the MAAC in 2023 and won the championship in 2024. Merrimack joined the MAAC in 2025 and will be seeking its first MAAC Championship Game appearance.
Siena (11-4) enters receiving votes in the latest USILA Coaches Poll and a conference-leading 12 All-MAAC honors including four major award winners and a program-record seven All-MAAC First Team selections.
Siena is making its 13
th appearance in the tournament and is 14-8 all-time and will be facing Merrimack for the first time in the postseason.
Siena leads the all-time series against Merrimack 3-1, however the Warriors defeated the Saints 14-6 in the regular season finale behind a six-goal performance from Colin Kruger on April 22.
The Saints features one of the nation's better defensive squads, ranking 10
th in ground balls per game (35.27), 25
th in caused turnovers (8.47) and 26
th in scoring defense (10.33).
Additionally, the team has the nation's Division I leader in face off winning percentage with two-time MAAC Face Off Specialist of the Year
Logan Banek leading the charge (146 for 211; .692).
Banek also ranks seventh in the country in ground balls per game with 7.58.
In net, senior and four-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Vito DeBellis ranks second in goals against average for the MAAC (10.66 GAA), sixth in save percentage (.502) and is fifth in saves per game (10.20).
Siena's offense ranks second in the MAAC with 196 goals scored as six players have scored at least 21 points including
Patrick Radomski (51),
Caden Olmstead (47),
Conor Hufnagel (47),
Travis Fry (36),
Patrick Linton (29) and
Gavin Blenk (21).
Siena has allowed the third fewest goals in the conference with 155 goals allowed.
Despite not having any All-MAAC selections on Merrimack, the Warriors feature a team-orientated approach and they're playing their best lacrosse of the season.
Riding a five-game winning streak, the Warriors have outscored their opponents 63-46 (12.6 goals per game against just 9.2 goals allowed per game) during this span.
Kruger leads the team with 35 goals.
Jaden Galfano leads the MAAC with a 10.20 goals-against average, a .533 saves percentage and ranks sixth in saves per game (6.00).
Colin Butters leads the team and is ranked eighth in the conference in caused turnovers (17).
