Inside Lacrosse unveiled the selections for the 2026 Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans on Saturday.
Siena sophomore
Logan Banek was one of 100 Division I players who earned recognition across the nation as the New Hartford, NY native was selected onto the Honorable Mention list.
Selected by several voters who also voted in the weekly Media Poll, voters submitted the first-, second-, third-and honorable mention teams; those were tallied, with players receiving the highest vote totals sorted into teams. Honorable Mention players consisted of players who did not earn enough votes to make one of the three teams, but still had a significant number of votes. The Nike Lacrosse All-American list aims to honor players a more traditional-sized roster, avoiding extra numbers unless an unbreakable voting tie dictates it.
Bryan Neufeld was the last Siena player to be honored by Inside Lacrosse for an All-American honor. Neufeld was added the IL Division I Mid-season Consensus All-American List.
Banek, the two-time MAAC Face Off Specialist Player of the Year and First Team All-MAAC selection, ranks first nationally in face off win percentage (.683) and seventh nationally in ground balls per game (7.79). Banek was instrumental in helping the Saints clinch its second straight MAAC Co-Regular Season Championship with a 12-5 overall record including 7-1 in conference play. The .683 face off win percentage was the third highest single-season performance in program history, but the best mark for any player who had at least 100 face offs.
On Tuesday, he was a finalist for the Siena Athletics Male Student-Athlete of the Year at The Bernie Awards. A member of the Dean's List, Reynolds had a 3.67 term GPA and a 3.65 cumulative GPA as a management major.
The product of New Hartford High School now has won 400 faceoffs in 30 career games with the Saints, winning .631 of the time for the best all-time mark.
