LOUDONVILLE, NY – As with any new season comes fresh faces.
The 2026-27 Siena Cross Country/Track teams will welcome 16 new student-athletes to the roster once the season begins this fall.
Now entering her fourth season, Saints' head coach
Elizabeth DeBole has recruited 14 freshmen and two graduate student transfers from Sacred Heart and NJIT to join the fray.
"We are thrilled to welcome our incoming class for 2026-2027," said coach DeBole.
"We have a phenomenal group that includes some experienced athletes coming in as graduate transfers and a lot of freshmen who are excited to begin their collegiate journey here at Siena. This crew is a great mix of true middle-distance athletes and cross-country specialists -- a great combination for a strong team. As always, we are committed to the long-term development of these young people over their time here at Siena, the future is bright for this program!"
Meet the incoming class for 2026-27
Gabrielle Bedard – Pinkerton Academy | Auburn, NH
Top times: Holds a 4:58.83 in the 1,600m and a PR of 10:59.41 in the 3,200M and a 18:55 in the 5K. Was a captain and First Team All-State selection.
Madison Carista – Norwood-Norfolk | Norwood, NH
Top times: Held PRs of a 2:21.79 in the 800m, a 4:56.60 in the 1500m and an 11:18.83 in the 3000m.
Shannon Carter – Massapequa | Massapequa Park, NY
Top times: Top times include 1:00.12 in the 400m, 2:23.28 in the 800m and 5:15.25 in the 1500m. First Team All-Conference and First Team All-County selection helped the team to conference, sectional and regional championships in 2026.
Ciara Clinton – West Milford | West Milford, NJ
Top times: Personal bests were 2:29.00 in the 800m, a 5:09.12 in the 1600m and a 10:37.40 in the 3200m. Named the Passaic County Female Athlete of the Year as well as the HSS Girls Track Performer of the Week from May 4-10, setting the school record in the 3,200m at the Passaic County Championships. Additionally, she was a gold medalist in the 1,600-meter at the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section I, Group 2 championship at the Bennett Center in Toms River back in February.
Mia Dellolio – Tappan Zee | Orangeburg, NY
Top times: Ran a 1:05.14 in the 400m, a 2:21.07 in the 800m, a 4:47.93 in the 1500m and a 5:19.89 in the one-mile for personal bests.
Emma Gold – Center Moriches | East Moriches, NY
Top Times: Holds high school PRs of 4:55.19 in the 1500m, 10:38.49 in the 3000m, and 19:07.60 for the 5K in cross country. Finished her high school career on a high note by claiming 6th place (All-State) in the 2,000m steeplechase at the NYSPHSAA state championships with a time of 7:20.00. Recognized for her integrity on and off the track by winning the prestigious NYS Sportsmanship Award for track and field.
Moira Griffin – Campbell Hall, NY | Washington
Top Times: Clocked in at 28.86 in the 200m and a 1:02.07 in the 400m.
Caitlyn Murphy – Wallkill, NY | Wallkill
Top Times: Mid-distance runner had times of a 2:20.85 in the 800m, a 4:35.62 in the 1500m, a 4:56.61 in the one-mile and a 10:13.84 in the 3000m. Excelled as a nine-time NY State Championship qualifier.
Madison Olszewski – Warwick, NY | Warwick
Top Times: Timed in at 2:29.21 in the 800m, 5:03.26 in the 1500m, an 11:07.59 in the 3000m and an 8:12.69 in the 2K steeplechase. Qualified for the NYSPHSAA Championships in the 5K.
Julia Settevendemie – Farmington, CT | Farmington
Top Times: Held times of a 29.07 in the 200m, 1:04.66 in the 400m, a 2:34.96 in the 800m, a 5:33.50 in the 1600m and a 5:47.03 in the one-mile.
Emma Tjersland – Hauppauge, NY | Hauppauge
Top Times: One of the state's top cross-country runners finished 26
th overall at the New York State Cross Country Championships. Also had a time of 2:23.33 in the 800m, a 4:48.93 in the 1500m, and a 10:17.23 in the 3000M. Tjersland was part of Hauppauge school history with a record-breaking performance as a member of the girls' 4x800 meter relay team on running under the 10-minute mark in the Coach Saint Invitational held at the Armory Track in New York City in December of 2025.
Nicholas Catina – New City, NY | Clarkstown North
Top Times: 1:59.18 in the 800m, 4:22.54 in the 1500M, 4:33.97 in the 1600m, a 4:40.36 in the one-mile, a 9:59:11 in the 3K steeplechase. Notable two-sport athlete also played on the varsity soccer team and provided a goal and an assist in a win against Yonkers and notched the winning assist in a win versus Suffern.
Nicholas Downing – Niskayuna, NY | Niskayuna
Top Times: Ran a 1:57.38 in the 800m, a 4:24.38 in the 1500m and a 4:27.41 in the one-mile. Had a 10:33.03 in the 3K steeplechase. Holds a personal best of 16:21.30 in the cross country 5K race.
Cillian Lyster – Washington, D.C. | Washington Latin
Top Times: Specializing in the 1600m, 3200m and the 5K, Lyster ran a 5K personal best of 15:36.1 and clocked a time of 4:31.44 in the 1600m.

Katie Cronin – Sacred Heart / Saratoga Central Catholic | Greenfield Center, NY
Top times: The mid-distance track runner had top times of 5:15.87 in the one-mile indoor, a 3:04.33 in the 1000m indoor and a 5:14.72 in the 1500 outdoor.
Fabian Herrera – NJIT / Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy | Elizabeth, NJ
Top times: Best collegiate times are 1:54.13 in the 800m, a 3:57.24 in the 1500m, a 4:16.30 one-mile, a 26:22 in the 8K for cross country and a 20:39.8 in the 6K for cross country. Is a two-time All-East regional selection for the 4x800m relay teams (2025, 2024).
