Steve Karbowski has announced the Saints 2026 schedule. The 18-match regular season docket features a power conference matchup for the second straight season and eight dates on Hickey Field.
Following a preseason scrimmage at UMass Lowell (Aug. 8), Siena Women's Soccer officially kicks off the program's 47
th varsity season with their earliest-ever season-opener when they square off with Atlantic Coast Conference foe Boston College on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. This marks the second straight season in which the Saints road-opener features an ACC opponent, after beginning their 2025 campaign at defending National Champion and top-ranked North Carolina. This will be the first-ever meeting between the regional foes and just the Saints sixth match all-time against a current ACC member.
Siena will play consecutive matches on Hickey Field just once all season, beginning with the home-opener against New Hampshire on Sunday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. The Saints will also welcome crosstown rival UAlbany to Loudonville for the first time in five years on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. to wrap the mini homestand. The Capital Region foes are set to meet for the eighth time in 13 years, with Siena holding a four-match unbeaten streak in the series (2-0-2).
The second half of the Saints six-game non-conference schedule – the middle four of which feature America East opponents – wraps with a season-long three-match road trip. Siena will travel to Bryant (Aug. 23), defending America East Regular Season Champion Binghamton (Aug. 27), and Le Moyne (Sept. 2) to conclude non-conference action.
For the third straight season, the Saints will play a balanced 12-match conference slate in the newly renamed Metro Conference, playing each league opponent once, featuring an even split of six home and six road contests. Siena has achieved a stellar 13-6-5 (.646) conference winning percentage since shifting to a 12-match league slate.
The Saints kick off their 35
th season of conference action when they host Manhattan on Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. Siena will alternate home and road tilts throughout conference play, with the sole exception of back-to-back contests away from Loudonville just once early on.
In addition to Manhattan, the Saints will also play host to league rivals Fairfield (Sept. 19), Canisius (Oct. 7), Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 17), Iona (Oct. 24 – Senior Day), and the regular season finale vs. I-87 rival Marist (Nov. 4) this fall.
The 2026 Metro road opponents for Siena feature Rider (Sept. 12), Niagara (Sept. 23), defending Tournament Champion Sacred Heart (Oct. 3), Saint Peter's (Oct. 10), Merrimack (Oct. 21), and Quinnipiac (Oct. 31).
The 2026 Metro Conference Women's Soccer Championships will once again feature a six-team field, with the higher-seeded team hosting each matchup. The 3-6 seeds will square off in First Round action on Sunday, Nov. 8, with the No. 1 and 2 seeds earning byes to the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 12. The 2026 Metro Conference Women's Soccer Championship Match is set for Sunday, Nov. 15.
Siena is looking to build off a strong 2025 season in which they achieved a 9-5-6 overall record and finished tied for fourth in conference action with a 6-3-3 league mark. The Saints return six starters – headlined by a trio of All-Conference selections – while welcoming eight newcomers including seven true freshmen.
