LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Soccer has been selected to be tied for fourth in the 2026 Metro Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the league office Thursday. The Saints earned a top-five preseason selection for the second consecutive season after being picked third in the league's 2025 preseason poll.
Siena and Canisius each received 118 points in the preseason voting to share fourth place. Fairfield was selected as the preseason favorite, collecting nine first-place votes and 164 points. Sacred Heart followed in second place with three first-place votes and 151 points, while Quinnipiac earned one first-place vote and 146 points to round out the top three.
The Saints also placed a pair of student-athletes on the Preseason All-Metro Team, with junior midfielder
Catherine Rogers and senior defender
Lindsey Harrington earning preseason recognition.
Rogers enters her third collegiate season following another standout 2025 campaign. The midfielder repeated as a First Team All-MAAC (now Metro) honoree for the second consecutive season and was also named an ECAC Second Team All-Star for the second straight year. She ranked tied for fifth in the conference in scoring with 20 points and six assists, while tying for seventh with seven goals.
Rogers registered a season-high three points on three separate occasions, including a goal and an assist in Siena's match-winning victory over Merrimack on Sept. 24. She closed the season on a five-match point-scoring streak, totaling 10 points with three goals and four assists during that stretch. Rogers was also named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and All-America finalist, while earning MAAC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll honors.
Harrington returns as one of the anchors of a Siena defensive unit that posted one of the top defensive seasons in the league in 2025. The senior defender appeared in and started 19 of Siena's 20 matches at right back, helping the Saints record a 0.75 goals against average and 10 shutouts.
The senior played the full 90 minutes in 13 appearances, recorded an assist in Siena's victory at Mount St. Mary's on Oct. 18, and finished the season with 12 shots, including seven on target.
Siena begins its 2026 campaign with a road matchup at Boston College on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 4 p.m.
