EMMITSBURG, MD – The Siena Track Teams closed out their 2026 season on a high note with six season-best times and added another personal-best time on Sunday during the second and final day of the MAAC Track and Field Championships hosted by Mount St. Mary's at Morgan Track.
The Siena Men scored 27 points for a ninth-place finish while the Siena Women accrued eight points and finished in a tie for ninth place in the team standings despite competing in only a handful of events.
Senior
Mattingly O'Rourke lowered her time in the women's 800-meter to a personal-best time of 2:12.47 to finish in fourth. It marked the third fastest time in program history. She had run the top qualifying time at 2:15.09 on Saturday.
In the men's 1,500-meter, senior
Tyler Greene took off better than eight and a half seconds off his preliminary time with a final showing of 3:51.87 for fourth place. Fifth-year
Luke Tkaczyk clocked in at 3:54.33 for seventh place. Freshman
Austin Ferrin crossed in 3:55.80 for an eighth-place spot to give points in the team standings from all three competitors.
The men's 4x800-meter that featured Greene, Ferrin,
Luke Tkaczyk and
Jackson Cayward finished in 7:43.77. Their seed time was 8:11.59. The performance earned them a fourth-place finish and was also a season best.
"The men's 4x8 got started in great position by Jackson, coming off his 10k PR last night," said third-year Siena head track coach
Elizabeth DeBole.
"Austin [Ferrin] ran really strong to move us up. Luke [Tkaczyk] ran the best last 150 meters of his Siena career to hand off to
Tyler Greene. Tyler ran so strong and leaned at the line. It was three teams and we were in the middle, so ended up fourth—just off the podium."
The women's 4x4 team that consisted of
Sara Fitzgerald,
Delaney Spalthoff,
Avery Kozerski and
Cameron Sisk put forth a season-best time of 4:07.15. It was the fifth fastest time in program history. It was good to earn two points and a seventh-place position.
Kozerski,
Julianna Tourangeau, Sisk and O'Rourke took part in the women's 4x800-meter earned a point in the standings with an eighth-place finish at a time of 9:21.28, a time that was more than 34 seconds faster than their seed time of 9:55.65. It was a season best for the Saints. Sisk and Kozerski completed the rarer feat of competing in two relay races.
The men's 4x4 team that comprised of
Ralston Frattarola,
PJ Dauer,
Behn Thomas and
Marcus Homa completed a season-best 3:31.35 for a ninth-place finish after a seed time of 3:34.04.
In the men's 5,000-meter, the Saints had six who qualified to compete. Freshman
Max Decker pulled the top time among the Saints with a mark of 15:28.34 and was 12
th overall.
Evan Wattie placed 14
th with a time of 15:32.27. A season-best for senior
Collin Clinton (15:37.13) put him in 17
th while
Brody Santagata (15:44.14) was in 22
nd.
Jake Passalugo and
Michael Ryan did not start.
In the women's 5,000,
Faith Skowvron had the top Saints' time at 18:14.60 to produce a season-best and 12
th place position.
Olivia Armenia (19:47.01), and
Olivia Schaffer (20:08.10) also competed with qualifying times.
Marissa Navarra qualified, but did not start on Sunday.
