Miles Joseph Named Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Aug. 5, 2003

Loudonville, N.Y.- Siena Women's Soccer head coach Steve Karbowski recently announced the hiring of assistant coach Miles Joseph for the 2003 season. Joseph enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Siena women's soccer program.

A 1992 Shenendehowa High School graduate who captured two high school National Championships and three State Championships, Joseph returns to the Capital Region after spending several years in Texas.

A member of the Under-18 National Team throughout high school, Joseph attended Clemson University from 1992-1995 where he was a two-time All-American. During that time he played for the Under-20 World Cup Team (1993) and participated in the 1993 World University games. Joseph was selected to the 1996 Olympic Team during his senior year at Clemson and following the 1996 Olympic games, he immediately entered a six-year professional soccer career playing for several teams including the NY/NJ Metrostars, Columbus Crew, Loan AC Milan and most recently the Dallas Burn. Olympic Team commitments and his subsequent professional career caused him to postpone the completion of his degree in speech communications at Clemson, however since retirement in professional soccer in January of 2002, Joseph has been working towards the completion of his degree.

Joseph has obtained his United States Soccer Federation "B" License and has coached many camps and clinics across the country. While in Texas he was the U14 Girls Coach for the Hawk Soccer Club in Lewisville and the U18 Girls Coach for the Genesis Soccer Club in Garland.

Presently, Joseph works at Anaconda Sports as a national account manager for their soccer division.
