Final Stats
East Tennessee jumped out to a 16-0 lead after a 13-run second inning in a 19-6 rain-shortened win over Siena Monday night. Chris Klepps, Rick Seltzer and Jake Willis all homered for the Siena offense, which has done its part early in the season.
Siena used five pitchers, but struggled all night to get outs. ETSU had 14 hits and 16 of the 19 runs were earned. Four Bucs had two hits or more even though the game was called with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Matt Gidaly had two hits, an RBI and a run in a losing effort for Siena. Kelpps and Willis each had two-run homeruns, while Seltzer launched a solo shot.
The Saints have travel to Knoxville tomorrow for a two-game series against national power Tennessee.
