LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena University Baseball program has been recognized for its exemplary performance in the classroom this past season with a 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association Academic Team Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Siena was one of more than 500 college programs across the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College levels to go along with more than 320 high school programs to earn acclaim. In addition to the GPA requirement, eligible teams must be a college or high school baseball program whose head coach is a current ABCA member.
 
Siena Baseball achieved a stellar 3.24 cumulative GPA for the 2025-26 academic year. The Saints boasted five College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees highlighted by an Academic All-America finalist, while 12 Saints were named MAAC All-Academic Team selections.

The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA's awards program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional & National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
