The first half saw each team trade possessions getting limited offensive opportunities.
UMass responded in the second half with Hogan's score at the 59:31 mark of the game. Following a Siena turnover, junior Greg Cirillo found Hogan streaking down the left flank. Hogan evaded a defender before lofting the ball over a charging Henry into the right corner of the goal.
