Final Stats
Mitch Herold pitched seven shutout innings and struck out eight and UCF scored 11 times in the first five innings to run past Siena 12-1 in a non-conference baseball game Sunday in Orlando. Chris Klepps had three hits and the only RBI for Siena.
Central Florida scored three times in its first at bat and led the rest of the way. Dwayne Bailey and Shane Brown each had three hits and three RBI for the Knights which complete a three-game sweep. Josh Seibenaler had two hits, two runs and two RBI, and Colin Arnold and Chris Duffy each added two hits.
Moises Rivera joined Klepps with three hits for Siena. Jason DeFilippo was 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Reliever Tom Hopkins was the most effective pitcher for the Saints. Hopkins went two innings of one-hit shutout ball.
Siena completes its southern portion of the schedule with a 1-12 record. The saints are scheduled to open their home season Wednesday against Holy Cross.
