Final Stats
Siena scored first, but Michigan's offense eventually got on track and the Wolverines coasted to an 11-3 non-league win over the Saints in Port St. Lucie Friday afternoon. Freshman Dan Paolini continued his hot hitting for the Saints, finishing with three hits and an RBI.
Anthony Giansanti led off the game with a home run, staking Siena to an early 1-0 lead. Michigan answered with a two-run blast by John Lorenz in the second and never trailed again.
Kevin Quaranto's home run tied the game in the fourth, but Michigan scored twice in their half of the frame and five times in the fifth to take control.
Five different Michigan players finished with two hits. Giansanti and Quaranto joined Paolini with multi-hit games for the Saints.
The two teams finish their mini three-game set with a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
