Siena and Saint Peter's split a pair of MAAC slugfests Saturday in Jersey City, N.J. The peacocks took the opener 13-6 and Siena rallied for a 16-9 win in the nightcap. The two teams complete their three-game series Sunday.

The Peacocks scored seven runs in their first at bat of the game and led 9-0 after the first three innings. Siena scored six unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth innings, but Saint Peter's put the game away with four runs in the seventh.

Siena also had four players post multi-hit games, led by Kyle Barbato who picked up his first home run of the season. Seniors Nick Messinger and Jason DeFilippo joined Brabato and freshman Dan Paolini with two hits in a losing effort for the Saints.

Anthony Giansanti had three hits, five runs scored, three RBI, a home run, two stolen bases and two walks to lead Siena's 15-hit attack in the seven inning nightcap. The Saints scored five runs in the first, but the Peacocks quickly answered with four runs in their first at bat. Siena then scored two runs in the second, four in the fifth, three in the sixth and two in the seventh to keep the Peacocks at bay.
