"We had a very good turnout on a beautiful day," Head Coach Andy Christodoulou said. "There were many supporters for all the teams and a lot of tailgating going on next to the courts while the tournament was played from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All the teams started with a music warm-up session (Provided by Albany Broadcasting) at 8 a.m. All the coaches expressed their satisfaction and noted they are already looking forward to next year's "Siena Fall Classic".
Carly Holloway led the Saints with a pair of wins in the singles competition.
Teammates, Jasleen Sandu, Jennifer Galante, Elora Benfer and Nicole Ross each posted singles wins as well.
The Saints came away with four wins in the double competition. In flight C of the doubles, Jennifer Benfer and Brittany Filip swept Union's Samantha Muratori and Melanie Watman to post an 8-0 victory.
"Denisa and I are very proud of the ladies," Head Coach Andy Christodoulou said. "At the beginning of the fall season we set a goal to work on our doubles play, and everyone improved their doubles perfromance. The team is already looking forward to the spring season, and early on in the spring we will work on our singles patterns. We will combine our doubles play with the singles patterns and come up with a winning recipe."
