Final Stats
Robert Tedesco pitched six strong innings to pick up his first college win and the Siena offense provided more than enough support with 13 hits in a 10-6 win at South Alabama Friday night.
After USA grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first, Siena scored once in the second and three times in the third and never trailed again. They led 10-4 before South Alabama scored twice in its final at bat.
Anthony Giansanti, Kevin Quaranto, Larry Balkwill and Kyle Hudson each had two hits for the Saints. Quaranto also drove in a pair of runs.
Tedesco went six innings, allowing just three earned runs while striking out five.
It's the second time the Saints have won a series opener down south. They topped Stetson in their season-opener Feb. 20.
Eight of the nine Siena starters collected a hit and seven of nine scored.
USA was led by Jake Overstreet who went 3-for-5 with two RBI. The two teams play a doubleheader Saturday at noon (CST).
