Baseball Loses Rain-Shortened Affair

Feb. 18, 2012

Final Stats

Siena was scheduled to play a doubleheader at Tulane Saturday, but rain in New Orleans forced the first game to be called once it was official, and the second to be postponed. Tulane won the rain-shortened contest 8-1.

The two teams will play a doubleheader at 10 a.m. (11 am Eastern) on Sunday.

The Green Wave struck for five runs in the first and two in the second to take a commanding lead. Larry Balkwill homered in the second to account for Siena's only run in the game.

Brandon Bourdreaux had a homer and a triple for Tulane, and Andrew Garner went deep as well.

Vincent Citro and Mike Fish each had two hits for Siena.
