Bryant Completes Series Sweep

Bryant the nation's longest win streak to 13 games with a convincing 10-5 win over Siena Sunday, completing a three-game weekend sweep in Rhode Island. Mike Fish drove in three runs and Larry Balkwill homered in the loss for the Saints.

Siena struck first with an unearned run in the first on Fish's sacrifice fly. Bryant answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning, and took the lead for good with a four-run second.

Balkwill's two-run homer highlighted a three-run fifth, helping Siena close to within 7-5. The Bulldogs put the game away with two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh.

The first five men in the Bryant order each posted multi-hit games. John Healy worked the final four innings, allowing just one hit and striking out six to earn the save.

Siena starter Ed Lewicki and reliever Bryan Goossens combined the give up 14 hits and the 10 runs in eight innings. The Saints were out-hit 14-5.

The Saints return home for a doubleheader against New York Tech Tuesday at 2 p.m.
