Dan Swain homered to start the game, but Central Florida had 11 runs by the fifth and cruised to a 13-4 win over Siena Saturday in Orlando. The game was delayed three hours after a water pipe broke on the sprinkler system.

Kyle Marsh was 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored for the Knights. Matt Diorio went 3-for-4 and scored three times.

UCF broke the game open with three runs in the fourth and four in the fifth after posting single runs in the second and third to take the lead.

Justin Esquerra had a pair of hits, including an RBI single in the fifth. The Saints scored twice in the eight, with both runs coming on wild pitches.

Robby Howell got the victory for UCF, working into the sixth and allowing just one earned run while striking out seven. Siena used four pitchers, with rookie Tyler Childrose having the most effective outing with a scoreless seventh.

UCF out-hit Siena 15-7.

Swain joined Esquerra with two hits for the Saints and his third career home run was his second at Jay Bergman Field.

The Knights improved to 44-3 all-time against Siena and will try for the weekend sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.
