Feb. 9, 2015 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Lacrosse senior captain Richie Hurley has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. The Setauket, N.Y. native led the Saints with five points in Saturday's season-opening loss at fourth ranked Syracuse.
Named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career, Hurley scored twice and dished out three assists while committing just one turnover while serving as the Saints' feeder against one of the nation's top defensive units. The MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, Hurley extended the nation's fifth longest active scoring streak to 35 consecutive games in the defeat.
Hurley and the Saints return to action Saturday for their home opener at 11 a.m. vs. Hobart at Siena Turf Field.
