Siena Soccer Programs Earn NSCAA Team Academic Awards

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. &#8211; Both the Siena Men&#8217;s and Women&#8217;s Soccer programs have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America with 2014-15 NSCAA College Team Academic Awards. Siena is one of 208 schools across the Division I, II and III levels to have both its soccer program&#8217;s recognized for meeting the criteria of maintaining a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

This marks the 13th consecutive year in which the women&#8217;s program has won the award and fourth time in the past five seasons that the men&#8217;s program has been bestowed with the honor.

The men&#8217;s team currently possesses a 3.30 cumulative team GPA &#8211; the highest of Siena&#8217;s nine men&#8217;s programs &#8211; and set a program record last fall with 11 MAAC All-Academic Team selections.

The women&#8217;s team ended the 2014-15 academic year with a 3.42 cumulative team GPA and boasted 10 MAAC All-Academic Team honorees last fall.
