Central Florida scored the first nine runs and never looked back in an 11-2 win over Siena Sunday in Orlando. Sophomore Joe Drpich launched his first home run of the season in a losing effort for the Saints.

UCF totaled double digit runs in all three games of the series, earning comfortable wins in the final two contests after storming back with five runs in the ninth to win the opener 10-9.

Siena's bullpen allowed just one earned run over the final 4.2 innings Sunday, with freshmen Brian Kelly and Zack Durant teaming with sophomore Ryan Bellomo to limit the damage.

The Knights registered 14 hits and were paced by freshman Matthew Mika with three hits and junior catcher Matt Diorio's key bases loaded double.

Freshman Thaddeus Ward earned the victory in relief by going 3.1 innings and striking out three.

UCF scored once in the first, twice in the third, and broke the game open with three runs in the fourth and fifth. Drpich homered in the sixth to get the Saints on the board, and Jordan Bishop walked and scored in the seventh to help Siena inch closer. The Knights struck twice in the seventh to account for the final margin.

Siena managed just three hits on the afternoon, with senior Fred Smart and junior Nick Duarte collecting the other hits.

The Saints continue their spring break tour of Central Florida with games at Stetson on Tuesday and Wednesday night. First pitch for each contest is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
