Indiana State scored in double figures in both games to sweep the series-opening doubleheader from Siena Baseball in Terre Haute, Ind. The Sycamores pounded out 14 hits apiece in each contest to take the opener 10-3 and the nightcap 12-3.

Game 1: Indiana State 10, Siena 3
Indiana State (12-6) ended the game with seven unanswered runs to reclaim the lead and capture the series lid-lifter. The teams had been knotted 3-3 at the midway point, through four and a half innings.

Jordan Bishop drove in all three runs for Siena (2-12) on the strength of two singles. Phil Madonna also added a pair of hits and scored twice for the Saints.

Indiana State's 3-through-7 hitters combined to go 13-25 with seven runs scored and eight RBI. The Sycamores reclaimed a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the fifth and added a run in the sixth, two in the seventh and three more insurance tallies in the eighth to pull away.

Game 2: Indiana State 12, Siena 3
Indiana State (13-6) erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth to overcome an early deficit en route to sweeping the doubleheader. Brett Connors had propelled the Saints (2-13) to an early advantage with a two-run single in the top of the inning.

Joe Drpich and Fred Smart each recorded two hits apiece for Siena, with Smart also scoring twice and slugging his second homerun of the season in the eighth inning.

Kaden Moore went 4-5 with a pair of doubles and four RBI for the Sycamores. Andy DeJesus scored three times and added three hits out of the leadoff spot for Indiana State.

Siena concludes its season opening 16-game road trip Sunday, with first pitch of the series finale scheduled for 1 p.m.
