For the fourth time in program history, Siena Men's Golf are MAAC Champions. The Saints rallied from six strokes back entering the final round to forge a tie with Manhattan, and Scott Kim sunk the decisive putt on the first playoff hole as Siena claimed its first title in nine years. The Saints, which also won MAAC Championships in 1991, 2006 and 2007, earn the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

"This was a total team effort all the way through," said head coach Steven Jensen, who guided the Saints to a MAAC Championship in his first year at the helm. "The guys worked hard and this was our one goal. I kept telling the guys that I believed in them."

Siena rallied to claim the title by shooting the second lowest final round score in MAAC Tournament history. The Saints' score of 284 was just one stroke off Loyola's final round record of 283 in 2013. Siena's historic final round featured 16 total birdies and an eagle. Three of Siena's five golfers carded under-par scores in the final round, with Michael Christifulli leading the way with a three-under 69 which included five birdies.

Overall, Siena led all schools with three golfers finishing in the top-10 for the tournament. Kim and Michael Shine joined Christifulli in carding top-10 scores. Kim shot a final round score of 74 (+2) to finish tied for sixth, while Shine shot 73 (+1) to finish in sole possession of eighth place overall.

Spencer Sautin and Tanner Donovan joined Christifulli in breaking par in the final round. Both recorded -1 scores of 71, with Sautin tallying four birdies and Donovan registered an eagle to go along with two birdies.

Siena was also the only team in the field to record a team score of under par in the final round as the Saints were a whole seven shots better than the next closest team, Manhattan (+2).

The Saints will find out where they are headed when the NCAA Men's Golf Selection Show airs on Thursday, May 5th at 9:30 a.m. on the Golf Channel.
