LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- Siena Baseball erupted for 11 runs over the first three innings and cruised from there in doubling up Saint Peter's 12-6 in the rubber game to take the series on both Senior Day and Mother's Day at Siena Field. The Saints pounded out 15 more hits including eight that went for extra bases in tallying their second 12-run output of the weekend.

Dan Swain led the offensive, recording both four hits and four RBI for Siena (17-28, 11-7) which won its fifth straight conference series to inch closer towards a MAAC Tournament berth. Swain also crossed the plate three times and finished just a home run shy of a cycle for the Saints which scored in double figures for the second time in 24 hours and for the fourth time this season.

Siena put the game out of reach early, highlighted by a seven-run third inning in which they sent 12 men to the plate in building a commanding 11-0 advantage. Phil Madonna recorded two hits in the frame including a bases clearing three-run double that just missed being a grand slam by inches. Swain also delivered a two-run single in the frame and by the time the bottom of the third was over, all nine Saints had each already reached base safely at least once.

Saint Peter's (9-36, 4-14) attempted to mount a rally in breaking through with four runs in the fourth, but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome their huge early hole.

Jordan Folgers (three hits) and Dan Lowndes added a pair of doubles apiece for Siena which also worked eight walks as a team in putting 23 runners on base.

Nick Ciocco homered twice and drove in three runs to pace the Peacocks which have dropped seven of the last nine meetings in the series.

The Saints return to action Tuesday for their final midweek home game of the season when they welcome non-conference foe Binghamton to Siena Field for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
