Jan. 14, 2017 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Swimming will compete in its final home meet of the season on Saturday as the Saints host LIU Post at 1:30 p.m. at Niskayuna High School. The Saints will honor their five seniors in a special ceremony before the meet at 1:15 p.m.
Here's Five Things You Need to Know About Saturday's Meet:
1.This will be the first competition for Siena since they wrapped up the ECAC Championships in fourth place on December 4th. LIU Post also competed at the meet, finishing in second place.
2. LIU Post defeated the Saints 109-94 last season in Brookville, NY.
3. This season, Siena is 1-2 at home, dropping a close opener to Holy Cross before falling to Vermont and defeating Merrimack at the Siena Swim Center.
4. Junior Fiona Dretzka was named MAAC Swimmer of the Week on November 23 after winning three individual races in the Saints' wins over Monmouth and Manhattan.
5. The Saints will compete in two more dual meets this season, Monday, January 16 at Fairfield and Saturday, January 21 at Saint Francis (PA) before the MAAC Championships on February 8-11 in Buffalo, NY.
