For the fifth consecutive season, Siena Swimming surpassed double-figures in team members honored on the MAAC All-Academic Team. The Saints placed 11 on the 2019 edition of the squad, the league announced as part of the 2019 MAAC Championship festivities in Buffalo, NY.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at Siena and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, a total of 92 athletes comprise the 2019 MAAC All-Academic Team among the league's women's swimming & diving programs.
For the third time in each of their collegiate careers, seniors

Emma Rupert,
Julianna Sebastian and
Francesca Tinucci earned a spot on the All-Academic Team. Joining the team's graduating members on the squad were juniors
Carrie Bonvissuto,
Rachel Brown,
Alyssa Lewis and
Katelyn Ludwicki, as well as sophomores
Sydney Lautenslager,
Shannon Leary and
Natalie Valachovic.
Overall, Siena's swimming & diving team stands alongside women's cross country as holding the best cumulative team GPA in the department with a 3.51. The Saints' swimmers posted a 3.54 team mark during the Fall 2018 semester and have 15 members who hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better.
