Box Score New Jersey native Ashleigh Sarafin scored twice to lead Siena Women's Soccer to its first victory of 2019 with a 2-1 triumph at Big East opponent Seton Hall at the Red Bulls Training Facility in Whippany, New Jersey. Sarafin, who hails from just 20 miles away in Landing, netted the game-winner in the 84^th minute.
 
Taylor Dorado made four saves for Siena (1-5-1) which defeated Seton Hall (1-3) for the second straight season to earn the program's fourth all-time win against a current Big East program. The Saints topped the Pirates 1-0 in last year's season opener at Siena Field, and also posted victories in consecutive seasons against Providence in both 2009 and 2010.
 
Sarafin opened the scoring in the 35^th minute and tallied the decisive blow with just 6:36 remaining in regulation to record her first collegiate multi-goal effort. Siena prevailed despite being out-shot 15-7 and out-cornered 7-4.
 
Sarafin came across inside the box and ripped a shot off a Seton Hall defender for her first goal. The sophomore striker then put the Saints back in front when she took a feed from Jayanna Monds, turned, and sniped a 35-yard blast top shelf over the keeper.
 
Danielle Brinckman scored in the 69^th minute to pull the Pirates even at the time. Harpa Johannsdottir made two saves in defeat for the Pirates.
 
Siena will look to build off its first victory of the fall when the Saints return home for their final non-conference home match Sunday at 1 p.m. vs. Maine at Siena Field.
