Competing in regular season competition on a Monday for the first time since 2011, Siena returns home after beginning the long weekend with a 2-1 loss at Stony Brook Friday evening. After allowing the first goal of the night just 16 seconds into the second half, the Saints tied the contest in the 60th minute, with senior Conor McGlynn converting the team's first penalty kick opportunity of the season for his second score of the year. The Saints would ultimately give up the game-winner in the 69th minute, despite out-shooting the Seawolves, 11-9.

The Saints last three contests have been one-goal losses, marking the first time since Sept. 8-19, 2015 that they have done so three times in a row. With the series dating back to 1987, Vermont holds a 10-1 advantage all-time against the Saints, with Siena's only win in the series coming on Sept. 1, 2009 in Burlington. The Catamounts captured a 1-0 victory on Sept. 18, 2018 at home, with the difference-maker coming in the 10th minute of play. The teams will meet in Loudonville for the first time since 2010.

Despite early struggles as a team, The Saints boast eight different point scorers through five matches, with McGlynn (2G, 2A) and junior Alejandro Riquelme (1G, 4A) tied for the team lead with six points each. Riquelme already has the most assists by a player since McGlynn had four en-route to a MAAC All-Rookie Team selection in 2016.

Winners in its last two matches, Vermont enters the week with a 3-2 overall record, capturing victories at Quinnipiac on Sept. 9 and most recently against Harvard on Sept. 13, 4-2. With three goals and an assist thus far, freshman forward Rasmus Tobinski leads the team offensively, taking home America East Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 3 for his game-winning goal in the Catamounts' 1-0 win at DePaul.
