NEW BRITAIN, CT – With just eight days remaining until the Fall 2021 MAAC Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships take place, Siena Cross Country used the CCSU Mini Meet hosted by Central Connecticut State at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Connecticut as one final regular season run.

Siena entered runners in all four events during the 18
th running of the annual meet, with the men placing ninth as a team in the 5k, the women taking fourth in the 3k, the men finishing fifth in the sub varsity 5k, and the women placing second in the sub varsity 3k.

Olivia Lomascolo steadied the team with a third-place finish in the 3k (9:39.1), including second among MAAC finishers. Graduate student
Regina Rosati (10:03.2) and junior
Sophia Vinciguerra (10:04.2) followed behind in 16
th and 17
th, respectively while freshman
Kayla Schmidt (10:16.2) took 23
rd. Junior
Keira Cohen placed second in the sub varsity 3k with a time of 10:11.8, while freshman
Claire Gardner (10:34.9) finished eighth in the race.

Siena's next race will come in a land where dreams are made of, when the team heads to Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida to compete for the Fall 2021 MAAC Championship on Saturday, October 30.
