LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Golf Head Coach Steven Jensen announced the signing of Vermont high school star Austin Giroux to the team's roster as its first incoming member of the Class of 2026.

"I am thrilled and excited Austin is going to be a Siena Saint," Jensen said. "He's not only a great player, but he's a great young man who will represent Siena well on the golf course, in the classroom, and in the community."

Representing North Country Union High School, the Newport, Vermont Native captured back-to-back Vermont High School individual state titles in both 2020 & 2021, and also took home the Vermont Golf Association's Junior Tour Stroke Play championship this past summer. The Caledonia Golfer of the Year in 2020 & 2021, he placed third at the 2021 New England High School Championship, and took home a top-10 finish in the Vermont Men's Amateur.

Giroux will join a Siena team that has already put forth a historic season, going under 300 in every single team round during the fall and setting multiple program records, including low 18-hole team round (283).
