EDISON, NJ – After leading his team to a title in their spring opener, Siena's Men's Golf's Nolan Crowley took home Levy Recognition MAAC Golfer of the Week honors, the league office announced Wednesday.
Crowley began the spring campaign with a 54-hole score of -4, 212 (73-68-71) at the Veterans Intercollegiate in Winter Garden, Florida, which helped the Saints to win the team title by 26 strokes. The junior's performance allowed him to finish in fifth place individually, and included six birdies in the final round of play. The Saratoga Springs, New York native tied for the fourth lowest 54-hole score in program history, becoming only the fifth Siena golfer to shoot a 212 or lower.
Crowley took home his second conference honor of the year, having earned MAAC Golfer of the Month honors back in October. He also won a MAAC Golfer of the Week award last season, and joins senior Brody Yates as the team's conference honorees this season.
Siena Men's Golf's spring season continues at the Sea Palms Invitational in St. Simons Island, Georgia, March 4-5.
