BOSTON, MA – Siena Indoor Track junior
Brandon Olden claimed ECAC gold for the second time this season Saturday afternoon, taking the top spot in the men's 5,000 race to begin action at the 2022 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track Championships in Boston, Massachusetts.

Olden ran a time of 14:10.90 to beat out Stony Brook's Shane Henderson by nearly three seconds and claim his second ECAC individual title of the 2021-22 season, also having won the men's 8k race during cross country season. Olden's victory highlighted a strong day of action for select qualifiers at the annual regional meet for indoor track, which signals the conclusion of the team's 2021-22 indoor track season.

The performance from the men's team, which finished day one tied for seventh place overall with ten points, was also highlighted by the distance medley relay qualifying for the final round as one of the top eight finishers. The group of junior

Griffin Cooke, and freshman
Luke Tkaczyk clocked a time of 10:01.01 to place fifth overall, and will also run in Sunday's action.

The women's team celebrated its fourth school record of the season, with freshman
Keira Flaherty running a time of 2:55.87 in the 1,000 to break classmate
Claire Gardner's previous best mark of 3:02.04 set earlier this season. Gardner also clocked a best time in the event at 2:59.60.

Action on the women's team began with junior
Delia McDade Clay running a personal best time of 4:57.99 in the mile to become just the third Siena woman ever to go under the five-minute mark. Graduate student
Regina Rosati ran a time of 16:54.64 in the 5,000-meter race to record the second-fastest time in program history, while junior
Elaine Atanasova ran a personal best time of 17:27.92. Finally, sophomore
Jennifer McClintock registered the fifth-fastest time in program history in the 800 with a mark of 2:19.68.

Elsewhere on the men's side, sophomore
Killian McNamee ran a mark of 4:09.69 in the mile for the second-fastest time in program history and just two seconds off the school record. Graduate student
Aidan Canavan ran the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 5k with a 14:32.08, while sophomore
Ryan Shanahan went for a 14:55.34.

Siena will conclude action at the 2022 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track Championships on Sunday, March 6 with entries in both 3,000-meter and distance medley relay races.
