Men’s Basketball Raises $15,000 for Summer Trip

Private Event Hosted by David and Jennifer MacPhee Raises Funds for Men’s Basketball

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Men's Basketball program raised over $15,000 in a private fundraiser event on Thursday, May 26 hosted by David and Jennifer MacPhee at their house in Loudonville. The event was held to support the program's summer trip to Italy from August 18-28.

"I want to especially thank David and Jennifer for hosting this tremendous event at their house and for leading the efforts to support the Siena Men's Basketball team," said Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Ryan Venter. "This is a once in a lifetime experience for many of our student athletes, and it would not be possible without those that attended and supported this event."

"What a great event," said Siena Men's Basketball Head Coach Carmen Maciariello. "Jennifer and her husband Dave aren't Siena alums, but they have seen firsthand the leadership of John D'Argenio and Dr. Gibson and wanted to help us grow our young men. The support from so many successful people in the capital region has been heartwarming. This trip to Italy for our student athletes will help grow them intellectually, spiritually, and athletically. We are thankful for the MacPhee's generosity and love for our program. Go Saints!"

The event saw over 50 people in attendance, including Maciariello, Siena College President Christopher P. Gibson '86, Ph. D., and Siena College Vice President and Director of Athletics John D'Argenio.
