LOUDONVILLE, NY – Festa Vino, the Capital Region's premiere food and wine celebration, returns on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Callanan Field House located in the Marcelle Athletic Complex. Net proceeds from one Siena College's signature events benefit both the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund, which directly supports more than 350 student athletes, as well as other special needs of the College.
Presented by Siena College, All Star Wine & Spirits, and AVI Foodsystems, Inc., Festa Vino features an evening of wonderful wine, food, and fellowship as the Callanan Field House is transformed into the Italian countryside. Guests will have the opportunity to sample more than 100 wines from around the world and culinary delights from some of the Capital Region's top restaurants. Siena student athletes help work the event and will be present to mingle and interact with patrons.
Siena is still currently accepting food vendors, sponsors, and honorary committee members for Festa Vino, which can be secured by logging on to
siena.edu/festavino. A $200 stipend is being provided to food vendors. Sponsorship levels start at just $250 to join the Honorary Committee all the way up to $10,000 for an Imperial Sponsorship, with all
sponsorship levels yielding premium benefits. Sponsorship opportunities are being accepted through Oct. 2.
Admission to enjoy Festa Vino is only $85, and tickets can be purchased by logging onto
siena.edu/festavino or by clicking the corresponding link. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to purchase their tickets no later than Oct. 10.
Festa Vino is one of the signature fundraising events for Siena College, with net proceeds benefiting both the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund and other needs of the College as identified by the Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement. The Saints Alive! Athletic Fund is the primary fundraising arm for the department, which impacts all student athletes, coaches, and their programs, and helps further the mission of "Building Better Saints."
This year marks the 21
st edition of the Festa Vino Food & Wine Festival, which returns for the first time in four years following the pandemic. The most recent 20
th annual event raised over $70,000 in 2019, which marked the second-highest total ever in the event's history, trailing only the approximately $75,000 raised in honor of Siena College's 75
th Anniversary in 2012.
